How can I get a userid and password so I can use CAPS?
CAPS offers online career preparation and training at the facility level only. If you don't have CAPS in your facility, just contact us and we will be glad to show you what the system has to offer. CAPS is not offered on an individual basis.
 
What if I forget my userid or password?
Your userid is your first initial followed by your middle initial (if used when you were registered) and your last name (with no spaces in between). Be sure to use all lowercase letters. Your password is usually the last 5 digits of your social security number. If this does not work, check with your Counselor/Training Coordinator, who can look up your userid and password.
 
How do the online courses work?
CAPS gives students access to their courses 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Once logged in, students can review course material, take tests, and view their own course history.

Do you offer group rates?

What if I lose my Internet connection in the middle of a test?
If you lose your connection during a test, you will need to sign on and begin the test again. Answers are not saved until you click the submit button at the end of the test.
 
Can I print out the course for reading offline?
No, the courses and associated exercises and resources are optimized for viewing online only. However, you may access the material as often as you like and, when ready, take the test and submit the answers online.
 
Can I retake the test if I don't pass on the first try?
Yes. You may retake the test as often as necessary to receive a passing score.

How do I know which courses I have already taken?
Just click My Career and view all courses you have completed along with the date you finished the course.
 
How do I get my certificate?
You may generate a certificate for each course that you have passed. Just click on any completed course in My Career and the associated certificate will be displayed. Click PRINT in your browser to generate a hardcopy for your records.
 
How do I update my user information?
If you have a name change or a misspelling of your information, contact your Training Coordinator and he/she will submit the change to the CAPS administrator.
